Named after the well known and much acclaimed New York Herald, this square is constantly bustling with people of New York. It is formed by the intersection of Sixth Avenue (officially now called Avenue of the Americas) Broadway, and 34th Street in Manhattan. It housed the building of the old New Work herald. The square today accommodates a huge mechanical clock whose mechanical structures were built in the year 1895 by the sculptor Antonin Jean Carles. All in all, it is a lovely place to pass by or just visit as the history of this place is quite enriching.

  • I shopped at Macy’s yesterday and was so pleased with how easy it was to get what I needed. Their children’s department is great and they offer a lot of different brands and good sale prices. I needed summer pajamas for 2 boys and found very nice cotton ones with fun designs at affordable prices. The store was also very clean compared to years ago. It was a good experience for me. Pleasantly surprised.

  • I love Macy's Harold Square. Always have good quality items - trained and often expert staff. It's just a NYC icon and a great place to spend some time shopping. Great basement kitchenware and a nice bar for a burger and beer before stepping back onto the busy streets of midtown. You haven't been to NYC if you haven't experienced this great department store.

  • Macys is always an experience. They have so much to offer but you need 6 or 7 hours here to get though everything. As a man I really like the suit section as they have constant specials on Tommy, Lauren, CK and many other brands. The price point is really good and the problem is you end up spending more than you expected. The staff are very helpful and go the extra mile every time I have been there. It is most definitely a place to visit when going to Manhattan.

  • It is one of the most complete centers of department stores. All in one place and not only is clothing also food of all forms and size varieties. There are all the recognized brands and to be recognized in their respective departments, it is not that they are all in conjunction with each other, they are each brand separately even if they are at the same weight. If you need something to buy without going around many times this may be the best place.

  • Huge store, it was overwhelming! The sheer size and selections were amazing. You could get lost in there. The ladies shoe clearance area needs better organization, though. I would definitely return again.
