Kazunori, New York City Reviews - Write a Review
Counter only restaurant that serves mostly hand rolls. They do not take reservations and since they have a limited amount of sits the wait can get very long. We had the 6 rolls menu, the special roll, and a couple of more items. Hand rolls are very good, the seaweed is perfectly crisp, the rice is at perfect temperature, and the fish is fresh. The 'special' uni roll turned out to be more expensive than I thought. We were in and out in less than 25 minutes and that felt a bit too fast to me.
Looking for a (usually) quick, healthy, delicious, and reasonably priced lunch break? That didn't exist in New York City until now. This place makes it simple and does simple WELL! Incredible pricing for fresh sushi. BUT, have a backup plan if the line is long and don't come with more than one or two other people.
Cozy little place with amazingly tasty sushi rolls and really nice stuff. At first I was disappointed that they don’t have regular sushi but once I’ve tried their rolls I was surprisingly impressed. They were really good. And they have really convenient location. It’s right net to the subway entrance.
This is a must try sushi restaurant. The hand rolls are made with very crispy seaweed, and the rice is the perfect temperature. Of all the rolls we tried, the scallop stood out as something special -- definitely worth a try. Each order is taken with a paper sheet, and each roll is prepared one at a time. If going with a date order on two sheets so you get rolls at the same time, rather than alternating as the chef serves the entire counter in order.
Probably the best sushi I've tried in my life. The seaweed was perfectly warm and crisp and the sushi is hand rolled right in front of you. Despite being a busy place, the service is very quick and you'll have finished all your food before you know it!
