Metropolitan Opera House Reviews & Ratings

  • What’s can I say, it’s the Met. Not only is the building itself gorgeous, but you’ll rarely find another occasion where people get dressed to the nines to see a show. The experience is exactly what you’d expect from old NY “high art” and certainly does not disappoint. Also, if you’re under 40, there are special prices for tickets that you can grab that allow you to have a free drink or so, plus better seats at that price.

  • What a wonderful experience , attending the opera Turandot exceeded all expectations. The acoustics are marvelous, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Concession products are a bit expensive and very limited in the choices. Overall a once in a lifetime experience! I would go back in a heartbeat!

  • A splendid place which is worth a visit, even for those who don't love opera. The experience of being there for a performance is incredible. There are individual mini displays with instant translation of the script in Italian, English, German and Spanish!

  • For the first time we attended live opera. It was a great pleasure. I loved that you could have the option to press the buttons in front of your seat and see the translation. Helps to understand the opera and enjoy it more.

  • Looked forward for months to a visit. But management weak over Domingo issues and presumably didn't gauge well the feelings of other performers. So last minute shuffling meant something of a lacklustre performance of a 2007 revival. The building is splendid and we loved being there but it deserves better management.
