New York Botanical Garden Reviews & Ratings
I've spent so much time here, used to spend my springs summers and falls working in the Children's Garden as a kid, visit yearly still as an adult. So many fond memories. And they've really upgraded over the years, it's been a surprising transformation to the Garden of today. Can't recommend enough spending a beautiful spring day traipsing through nature here. Enjoy!
I have been coming to the botanical garden sense I was a small child and I have always loved it. The staff is very friendly, The garden is always well kept and beautiful. You will see Chip monk, Squirrel, Birds and if you look hard enough maybe a snake. This place is perfect for families and there is even places to go for a special occasion such as weddings; it is very beautiful, i highly recommended
Of the two major gardens in NYC, the Brooklyn one may be the one New Yorkers think of first because of its convenience on the subway line but this is the classier one with amazing food options and just general fanciness. Impressively good cafeteria and the grill is on par with any trendy downtown food destination (make sure you make a reservation). Great for a stroll with kids, amazing for leaf peeping for the fall colors. Just the perfect little hikes through wooded terrain. It's accessible via metro North from Grand Central but often we just take a taxi..
Such a nice peaceful place to spend the afternoon and get away from busy NYC! It’s a little bit of a trip to get there if you are taking public transportation but it’s definitely worthy. I saw 2 places where you can eat inside the Botánica garden , one is sort of a deli you can get sandwiches, pizza, etc and the other one is a very nice restaurant. (I recommend this one ) the food was really good, also if you are going to eat at the restaurant and don’t wish to visit the exhibitions you can get a free day pass to get in .
I just love the New York Botanical Garden! It’s a place where I find peace, tranquility, joy. To be surrounded by nature, it’s smell and beauty is an overwhelming feeling. The garden also offers many activities, hands on training, events through out the year, great food from different restaurants and a gift shop with quality items, including foods:) Check it out!
