  • I wanted to check this out last year and didn't make it, so I was excited to go this year! From the moment we entered the garden, everything was beautiful and festive. There were train shows up above us and amazing replicas of the old Penn Station, Grand Central, and other iconic NYC landmarks. The second part was where it got really great, though. We entered the observatory, where the replicas were nestled in the plants and trees. Train tracks were wound around everything and replicas of NYC bridges were up above us. The coolest replicas were ones of landmarks like Yankee Stadium, the Chrysler Building, the NY Public Library, the Rockefeller center etc. The train show was bigger than I imagined it would be, which was great!

  • We went to see the Holiday Train Show. It is a must see that is for adults as well as for the kids. They have recreated famous landmark buildings using leaves, barks, nuts and materials from nature. Amazingly beautiful. Above, below and between these buildings are the trains all set amid the tropical plants. Weekend price is bit high ($30 for adults $18 for kids) but if you can go during the week, $23 for adults and $10 for kids).

  • Absolutely one of the best experiences of NYC. To give the impression and actual feeling of being within a variety of diverse natural habitats. Which is a treasured well-known secret of many locals, who deeply value the magnificent wonders of nature. (Although the Bronx Botanical Garden, is actually, only a very small part of the gardens, contained within the entire Bronx Park. Which actually runs about 20 long, adjacent to the Bronx River. From its tidal limit of the East River, at its southern end, all the way upriver to the Kensico Dam, known as the Bronx River Valley of the town of Mt Pleasant by Valhalla, which is the northern section. ) Well before the pharmaceutical conglomerates forced a complete takeover. Highly recommended as a treasure for all to enjoy. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘Please Like πŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ’š Do Love

  • Nice botanical gardens in the Bronx, grounds are free to walk around on Wednesdays. Better to go then cause not really worth forking out for, been to some much better botanical gardens around the world which were free. The Christmas train show was really good though, that's was a separate event (really recommend that πŸš‚)

  • We always have a wonderful time visiting the Botanical Garden. It's a great place to visit with family, friends, or even alone. There are so many gardens to enjoy and learn about. There are also special events that are held throughout the year. A membership will cost between $55 & $135 and will allow you free parking and admission to the gardens and many special events.
