  • This space is a great date spot or even better spot for quirky friends to get together. They have live Jazz and an excellent breadth of top shelf scotch offerings. I'd describe the ambiance as a mix of a saloon and speakeasy. The Blood Orange Sour was perfectly frothy, slightly fruity, and absolutely fun to drink.

  • THE place to go if you love whiskey. The largest bourbon selection in Manhattan. And among the top 40 bourbon bars in the country. Try a flight of bourbon samples and watch the hours melt away as you sip and relax, while a killer live jazz band serenades you until you've had your fill. A must see in the city.

  • The music and live performances are great, no question. What disappoints me is that they pre-make their Old Fashioned cocktails in an assembly-line fashion. When I order an Old Fashioned, I want it to be prepared from scratch after I order it (I don't mind waiting for it). Also, the single ice cube is rather tiny, and the glass isn't a pleasure to hold in your hand (it's the same as their water glass, as opposed to a nice, heavy-bottom rock glass).

  • Amazing atmosphere. I️ feel as if some reviewers are getting this confused with the Flatiron Hotel. The whisky selection is unlike anywhere else. Whiskey tasting flights, great happy hour, live music, amazing food. Must try the mac n’ cheese as a side. The service could use some improvement, but I️ will definitely be back. On the pricy side.

  • The period decor alone makes you feel like you have walked into someplace special. There was a melodic 3 piece jazz band playing when we arrived. It was still happy hour so we ordered some fruity cocktails we usually wouldn't order. They were pretty terrible. There were big ice chuncks in my drink, and the flavor profiles were just wrong. They did get bonus points for having bone marrow on the menu. It was fantastic! The greens and onion crunchies served with it complimented the rich marrow beautifully. We split the short rib entree; it was dry. We also got the app with tomatoes, fruit and cheese, I forget the name. It was good, plenty to share for more than 2. Then the waiter spilled food on my boyfriends suit coat... The manger rushed over, apologized profusely, comped our entire meal, and asked us to send the dry cleaning bill! I was impressed. We didn't send to cleaning bill, that was too much. However, it was a bummer because we were there to eat before going out to a show. Next time, coat check.
