White Horse Tavern Reviews & Ratings

  • Great place & so historic; from 1880!! Bartender was so sweet & we got there during brunch hours. I had the avocado toast that had pickled radishes atop 😋 so good!! The drinks are delicious & just the right amount of strong. They have outdoor seating in the warm months and located in the beautiful neighborhood of Greenwich village.

  • Hours say open from 11 am to 2 am. We showed at 4:30 were told by who we thought was the manager to “sit anywhere”. So we did sit at the bar where were told by the bartender “ we are not open till 5”. Asked two other employees who all had different answers. I told them their website was wrong as well. They seemed perplexed. Place is not only old school. It is just old. Go somewhere else. This place has lost their way.

  • Great location. Amazing services. Great collection of drinks. Everything well organised. Sitting section was amazing.

  • Tasty appetizers, good beer if you like it. Waiters are not very attentive. Good place to hang out with friends

  • Great spot, perhaps not the spot to have dinner and try to catch up with friends you haven't seen in a while. It was ridiculously loud in here. No signs to say you need to go to the bar to get alcohol, then when you do, they will continue with bar service. Waited forever to be acknowledged to even be able to ask why we hadn't been served. Had a burger and fries which came out timely and were nice but greasy.
