One of the best places to get a view of Newcastle, the Queen’s Wharf Tower is located on the waterfront and offers a bird’s eye view of the city. If you aren’t pressed for time, take a ferry to Stockton and explore a typical Aussie settlement. The view of Newcastle from Stockton is said to be a beautiful sight; the highlight however, are the exposed shipwreck that you get to see sans the whole diving down to the bottom of the ocean to see one.

  • Great place to catch the sun going down, I stayed in Newcastle for 5 weeks and this was one of my favourite places. It's a wonderful place just to sit and watch the massive Cole ships moving in and out of the port.

  • Walk, ride, fish, sit and watch the world go by, eat or drink. Great spot. Giant tower about the come down - these are photos from its last day.

  • Beautiful place to watch the working harbour 😁

  • I have to say this one of the best things in Newcastle, especially on a Sunday. By spending only 2.5$ on your Opal card, you can take as many ferry rides as you want and enjoy the waters..

  • Not facilities, but does have a ferry to take you over to Stockton. Unfortunately only a short trip.
