A Victorian stained glass pub – how do you NOT fall in love with how that sounds. It’s one of the most famous and the second oldest pubs in the city. The atmosphere inside though is nothing uptight. Instead, it’s upbeat and décor is beautiful. The house gramophone usually has some cool tracks playing. Ask the bartender (or anyone in the know) about why the pub came to be. According to legend, a Spanish Sea Captain bought it for his mistress. In addition to the regular beers and local beers, there are 6 cask conditioned ales.
