Offering spellbinding views of the Newport Back Bay area and Newport Harbor, Castaways Park has become one of the most love picnic spots around the city. The walkways around the park are easy to explore and even called ‘stroller friendly’. With pathways that are lined by tall eucalyptus trees, a walk here is apt if you just want to relax and enjoy the quieter side of Newport Beach. The park is pet friendly and if you love bird-watching, you can stop by at the place to spot gorgeous birds embracing the blue skies. Pelicans are a rather common sight here. Photography lovers come here to take some breath-taking photos while the place is also frequented by bikers and joggers. The place does have a 1 mile long trail for biking and walking that ends at Dover Drive to form a loop.
Take some time at the viewpoint located at the park to see the some of the best views around the city.

Castaways Park Reviews & Ratings
Perfect for outdoor walking. Great view of the Pacific also great view for sunset watching. Great place for dog walking.
Anyone and everyone should visit this park. It has true American Spirit and I won't say more than that you'll have to see for yourself. It also has some of the most magnificent breathtaking views a perfect circuit for anyone who wants to walk jog or just take a stroll. It's one of my favorite in the top 5 places to go particularly in the category of parks and it's well-maintained perfect for kids just as long as they don't expect to go on swings and run nuts this is a park for walking talking jogging sightseeing it's not an active Park per se for little children.
Good for little ones. Not a lot of playground equipment.
Nice, quiet park with exceptional views. Some benches around, but no picnic tables or open spaces for recreation. This park is for sitting, walking, running, or riding your bike around the Back Bay. You can actually make it all the way around, but you will need to ride through a neighborhood for part of the way.
Beautiful clean park that is dog friendly and has spectacular views of the harbor!
