Newport Beach Tourism

With some of the most picturesque beaches in California, plenty of classy restaurants and bars, fun-packed amusement parks, and nature reserves having an abundance of vibrant flora and fauna, the coastal city of Newport Beach is a favorite weekend getaway to many. Located in Orange County of California, Newport Beach is most famous for its harbor. This seaside city is surrounded by Huntington Beach from the west while Crystal Cove State Park from the east. This small city comprises an area of only 53 square miles. In addition to the Newport harbor which was established in the city in the 1990s, some other famous areas in Newport beach include Balboa Island, Balboa Peninsula, San Joaquin Hills, Corona del Mar etc.

Since the city has “beach” in its name, it’s quite obvious that the city is famous for its pristine beaches. The beaches in Newport Beach are not only formed by the Pacific ocean but also the santa Ana River. This gives a lot of opportunity for the activities like surfing, kayaking, boating, scuba diving and more. The piers on the beaches are best for fishing. In addition to this, there are some boardwalks and a number of yacht clubs on the beach. The beer can race is one of the must-see events in Newport Beach. Since Newport also has a large ecological reserve area, many birdwatchers come here to witness a huge variety of birds. While boating, one can also indulge in whale watching tours. The city also has some well-maintained golf courses, theatres, and seafood restaurants.
