The National Oceanographic Museum Of Vietnam is set up in a French Colonial Building and exhibits various interpretative displays and artefacts on marine life. Over sixty thousand jars stuffed with sea mammals, marine specimens, and stuffed birds are there on display along with artefacts on fishing with local boats. The first floor also has skeletons of rare marine species preserved in formaldehyde and the eighteen metre whale skeleton. You will also find on the ground floor a reef tank filled with reef fish varieties like lionfish and clownfish, and separate tanks containing rescued marine turtles, anemones, sea horses, puffers, corals, and sharks. The National Oceanographic Museum Of Vietnam also has themed rooms focusing on natural disasters, Vietnamese Fishing culture, algae, and microscopic organisms.
