About Holiday Inn Niagara Falls - By The Falls, Niagara Falls

The Hilton Hotel and Suites Niagara Falls/Fallsview's North Tower is a skyscraper-style hotel in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. It was originally slated to rise 58 floors to a height of 177 metres (581 ft), but the building was subsequently reduced to 53 (claimed) floors and the new height has never been publicly released. It has however clearly surpassed the Embassy Suites as tallest building in Niagara Falls and still has more than 500 rooms. It is also the tallest hotel in Canada. The Emporis web site lists the building as having 58 structural stories while Skyscraperpage lists the building as having 47 floors. The Hilton website states the building to be a 53-story tall suite tower, but it is unknown if this takes into account mechanical levels or skipped floors. A visual floor count of the building yields only a total of 49 or 50 stories.

  • First time in Canada, from Brooklyn. Hotel was nice and clean. Pool was very enjoyable and clean, only used the outdoor one. Like a 10 minute walk to the falls and all the other attractions. Parking was free and convenient. Breakfast buffet there was okay, nothing to write home about. It's a tourist area so nothing is really cheap. Everywhere around there hits you up with a tourist tax along with the already high 13% Canadian tax. A Starbucks coffee was $9!!!!

  • nice hotel with great service. pools both indoor and outdoor were nice and pretty clean. room was nice and spacious but bathroom was a little tight. the air conditioning was also making a loud noise so we had to keep changing the temperature to turn off the sound [weird, eh?] overall a great experience, thanks holiday inn!

  • Very nice rooms and employees very happy to accommodate to any issue you may have had. The food in the restaurant at the hotel was very poor I'd rate the food 2 out of 5 I encourage not to buy breakfast from the hotels restaurant. I had noticed everything you pay for at the hotel had a resort tax. It was odd and didn't understand why there was such feature to me I did not classify it as a resort of any sort and thought it was a money grab. Otherwise rooms were nice and very up to date

  • Rooms were not the cleanest. The floors were pretty dirty but no slippers were provided. For the price we paid for one night stay (on a Thursday) we expected more. Room was on ground floor next to back exit which made it noisy. View was one a parking lot with lots of trash around. Sketchy as well. I understand the concept of "you get what you pay for", but this room wasn't cheap. I've gotten way better rooms for less. Only thing good was the location of the hotel, which is quite close to the falls. 5 - 10 mins walk depending on your pace.

  • The room had a nice view of the falls and fireworks. That was the good part and is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. We had the 2 bedroom premium view suite at the Hilton in Niagara Falls on the Canadian side. The coffee maker leaked, but no big deal, the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor, when the lights are turned on in the bathroom it's like a floodlight is turned on in the mail sleeping room, which woke up our two kids multiple times. There is frosted glass between the two bedrooms so if the lights are on in one room it shines unwanted light into the other room at night. We found nasty hair on the floor which was obviously not vacuumed all that well. There was something gross and sticky on the rolling chair. The glass on the window to look out was filthy. When I went to check out they couldn't even find my name and had our room listed under the next visitor that was coming in later that day, which messed up the tour we booked and had it charged to the room... Then we waited for them to figure it out while we almost missed our tour, and I'm still not sure if it has been fully figured out. All in all, I usually like Hilton, but this was just an all around poor experience for me and my family and next year will will stay elsewhere.
