Popularly referred to as the town hall of Pisa, Gambacorti Palace is an ancient structure located in the heart of the city. It is believed to be built in the fourteenth century by Tommaso Pisano and belonged to the wealthy Gambacorti family. The north facade of this structure has remained untouched since it was constructed, and provides a glimpse into the 14th century world of Pisa. The courtyard within the palace is decorated with inscriptions and contains ancient columns. If you’re a history aficionado visiting Pisa, you must certainly not miss this place.
