The St Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral, or the Russian Orthodox Cathedral of Nice is a Russian Orthodox house of God of the Moscow Patriarchate. It is spotted in the city of Nice. Opened in 1912, on account of the liberality of Russia's Tsar Nicholas II, it is renowned as the biggest Russian Orthodox basilica in Western Europe. From 1931 until 15 December 2011, the area that included the basilica was part of the Patriarchal Exarchate for Orthodox Parishes of Russian Tradition in Western Europe under the governance of the Church of Constantinople.
The church building, sancified in December 1912 in memory of Nicholas Alexandrovich, Tsarevich of Russia, was intended to serve the vast Russian neighborhood that had settled in Nice by the completion of the nineteenth century. The dedicated guests from the Imperial Court were also included. Tsar Nicholas II supported the development work through his association with financers and he had largely provided the funds for the construction.

A must-see if you are interested by religions, architecture, history, culture. There is a great amount of reliqs and objects which you can usually only see in museums in Eastern Europe or Russia. Free entrance, guided visits available. You can also spend some time in its peaceful garden and sometimes see some rabbits.
To visit this beautiful Orthodox Cathedral, it’s best to have shoulders and head covered for women (you can borrow a scarf from a basket by the entrance). Men are advised not to wear shorts. It’s very beautiful both inside and outside. To visit during the service is a lovely experience. You can check their website to learn what’s on.
As soon as you see it, you feel you are in Russia! Very particular design..inside you are not allowed to take a picture. But you will enjoy visiting a different church
Worth it 100% but I'd recommend to go in a sunny day
