Nicosia Tourism
The largest and capital city of Cyprus is also the world’s last divided city. The northern side of the barbed Green Line wall is the Northern Cyprus, and the southern half is the capital of the Republic of Cyprus. Though not as lively or archeologically rich as most of the other cities that make Cyprus a tourist hotspot, the capital is worth visiting for its consequentially more authentic Cypriot atmosphere. It’s also a surprisingly good shopping destination. There’s a rich Roman, Greek, Turkish and Byzantine heritage for every tourist.
