About Kegon Falls, Nikko
Another gem of Japan, the Kegoon falls is ranked as one of the country’s best waterfalls. Located at the Lake Chuzenji, these falls are a result of rerouted lava that forms the Daiya River. Cascading from a height of 318 feet, the Kegon Falls, are encircled by twelve more tiny waterfalls that squirt from the cracks of adjoining mountains.
People from all over Japan, come to admire these falls, especially in the months of fall, thus even causing traffic jams on routes to the falls.

Magical. Breathtaking. This area is beautiful all seasons. A “must see” if you are traveling in this beautiful area of Japan!
Amazing waterfall, well worth checking out. The free viewing platform is good but also worth the spend to go down to the lower platform for the full effect.
Very large fall. Must watch fall in Nikko. Good place for hangout. Can cover upto 80% of fall in photograph, from View location. Bit high Charge for elevator which takes to ground level. Overall Experience : Very Good.
Parking available in the lot next to the entrance for 310 yen and across the street for 300 yen. It is possible to see the falls for free from an observation deck (down a single flight of stairs) or you can pay for the elevator which brings you down much closer to the bottom of the falls. There are a few food and souvenir shops on site.
2nd largest falls in Japan. Worth seeing but other views in the area are more interesting. The free viewing platform will give good enough photos for most as it is 500¥ for the elevator to the lower platform.
