Bahla Fort, Nizwa Reviews

Google+
  • Nice and quite fort which is maintained well and has beautiful view. A must place to stop by if you are in nizwa. Staff there were very friendly and loved it. Fort seems small from outside but is actually huge and has many rooms and sections to visit.

  • Bahla Fort is one of the most impressive places I've been. Well worth the trek

  • A very beautiful fort which is not very crowded. You get to see a very good view of the city from the top. Nice place to visit.

  • Like others have mentioned, the fort itself is huge and very impressive. The downside is you have absolutely no clue what it is or why/how it was used. It's completely empty with no signs or any guides as to what you are looking at. We ended up going home and googling it afterwards. It's only 1/2 rial entrance fee which is affordable.

  • This fort is larger and even more impressive than the one in Nizwa. Sadly, it's a bit off the beaten track so I think many people will skip it. Nevertheless I enjoyed walking around and really (really) getting lost in the maze of rooms and stair cases. Definitely worth it if you can spare an extra few hours while in the area. The bathrooms are also VERY clean and modern.
