  • Like others have mentioned, the fort itself is huge and very impressive. The downside is you have absolutely no clue what it is or why/how it was used. It's completely empty with no signs or any guides as to what you are looking at. We ended up going home and googling it afterwards. It's only 1/2 rial entrance fee which is affordable.

  • Location was beautiful and fort was very well restored. There were zero signs or pamphlets so I had no clue what I was looking at. Every room looked the same and it got old quick. Would be helpful if they labeled things or had some more information about the fort while touring around.

  • Look, the fort is impressive. But there's not a single piece of information about the fort or it's many rooms anywhere to be found. So like... You dont learn anything or gain knowledge about the fort or it's history. Furthermore, there are no artifacts or things to look at. It's literally a fort and that's all. It certainly could be improved with more info or guides to explain things.

  • This is one of UNESCO World heritage sites. Simple and plain Walls not much of an attraction inside. While the whole Fort is a sight of beauty from the outside because of its enormous walls and tower. Every visitor will have to pay 500 baisa as entrance fee.

  • Awosem historic Fort. It is the biggest and the oldest fort in Oman. But there is no information signs or guided.
