Bahla Fort, Nizwa Reviews - Write a Review
Bahla Fort is one of the greatest examples of historic Omani architecture, it is still not as entertaining to visit as other more popular forts such as Nizwa Fort, due to the fact that other forts have exhibits, a gallery section, and details on what each room was used for. I am sure the grand Bahla Fort will be able to compete with these other ones when it gets opened officially. This is one of the most beautiful and oldest fort in Oman but there are still no exhibits displayed in the fort at the moment and no proper labels or descriptions can be seen in the castle. This is one of the world heritage site listed by UNESCO.
This is the very different fort as compared to Nizwa and Nakhal and is a must visit for anyone traveling to Muscat.
Lovely fort that allows to descover the past and the greatest of omani made ,,
The most impressive fort I've visited in Oman! It is really huge and amazing and worth to visit! Highly recommended.
Bahla is a small old township with lot of historic traditional buildings and a fort.. You can even see a small wall similar to Chinese great wall around Bahla. Bahla fort is one of the main attractions in this place. Bahla Fort, with its walls and towers of mud brick on stone foundations is a UNESCO heritage site which is worth visiting..
