This place give an idea about the Omani culture.Front doors of the traditional home, their utensils, dresses etc. Fancy items made of clay also are widely displayed throughout the Souq. People from different parts of the Globe come there to have a glimpse of the Omanian Culture.
Nice, friendly service even with limited English from the traders. The Souq is photo-friendly and offers a glimpse into the Omani culture of honouring their guests.
Best time to visit this traditional market on Friday. Nice place to buy traditional Omani deserts and souvenirs. The goat market was very interesting which was for cows as well, we stayed there for a while to see the auctions.
Fantastic antique market. Historical and calm. Very nice people.
A must see when you are in Nizwa. My favorite part was the date souq, though I want to go back for a piece of pottery and maybe something silver as they are known for both in Nizwa.
