  • This is probably the worst campground I've ever stayed at. The amenities certainly don't outweigh all the negatives. The float is terrible. If you do the 8 mile the first 5 is great then it's nothing but stagnant water you have to row through. Not to mention the police hide in the tree line and are not afraid to harass you at any chance. The campground is rocky and uneven and police are there CONSTANTLY. I understand having safety for the grounds but come on. I was harassed and so were others several times in the 3 days I stayed for absolutely nothing. They were there five times in three days "patrolling". The whole campground smells like sewage from the Tyson plant next door and stagnant water everywhere. I would highly highly recommend camping somewhere else.

  • We arrived around noon, with our own tubes. The campsite is very pretty, as it the entire area. We checked in, and went back outside to inflate our tubes. A worker approached us and offered to inflate our tubes for us, which was extremely helpful. We then loaded onto a bus and got a ride to the drop off spot up the river. So far, so good. I had previously gone on the website and noticed tubes take approximately 3-5 hours. Great. We had packed some waters, a little snack food, and sunscreen. At no point did anybody tell us that the river barely flows throughout much of the trip. We were in the water for NINE HOURS. Nobody advised us to bring a paddle, because the river stands still much of the time. We ended up pulling our floats, swimming, walking, etc. All of us received second degree sunburns, even though we applied sunscreen multiple times and wore hats. We all are sick from exhaustion and heat. We might consider going back another time, but never with tubes. The large rafts or kayaks with paddles seemed to be the best.

  • Truly a first class float resort. Great food, friendly staff, plenty of security and lots of fun. Don't expect valet parking or concierge service, but you will get the best of hillbilly backwoods entertainment around provided by your fellow campers. Definitely a must return to place.

  • Love this place! Gets very crowded on the summer weekends but the staff does a wonderful job handling everyone. Lots of people there to party so may not be the place if you want quite and peaceful. It doesn't bother us, and we love float trips! We have made this an annual summer family camping and float trip!

  • Worst trip we've taken. Our campsite was fine. The police on the river were constantly on our backs, making it difficult to have fun. If you are wanting to have a fun float trip I would strongly urge you to choose a different site.
