Travelodge Vancouver Lions Gate, North Vancouver Reviews

  • Booked this Travelodge hotel based on pictures of the hotel and stays at other Travelodge hotels. What a mistake. The pictures should be considered false advertising. The grounds and building are in a degraded state. The room decor could be described as "Early Yard Sale". There were stains on the worn out chair and rug and mold stains on the grout in the shower. The mattress was worn out. Even the air conditioner was full of dirt in the grill. Travelodge should either clean up this hotel or take their name off of it. It cost us about $1000 for a three night stay. The value should have been more like a quarter of that especially when the cleaning staff didn't clean the room and replace towels on one of the days. I asked for a couple of wine glasses at the front desk only to be given directions to the local dollar store. Avoid this place. There are better choices. As another poster said, "a two star hotel with 4 star pricing". I give it a one star.

  • The room is clean and nice, but..... I paid $200 a night, which apparently is a heavily discounted rate because it's "high season" (Sept 2 and 3). That rate does not include breakfast (and there is nowhere to get food at the motel) and they don't have a pool. I stayed at the Grouse Inn (literally next door) this time last year, and the North Vancouver two years ago. Their prices are similar, and for the money you get breakfast and a pool I will choose either of those places in future, if I come back.

  • This hotel is absolutely disgusting. As soon as we walked into the room we turned around and left. Tried to get a refund but she wasn't about to let that happen! So they got a free $300 ... Not impressed about that part at all. She's all friendly and happy to take your money but when you ask for it back because you decide not to stay she turns into a real nasty b**** . There were about 10 crackheads sitting at a hotel table outside smoking crack. Homeless people begging for change , garbage all over the parking lot, piss smelling rooms, way over priced , just an all around dump that a should be burnt.

  • Good hotel decent distance from downtown. Clean room, great staff and good service. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Overpriced, if you are staying here then no need to go to insect planet. You will find new species every day. Stayed there for 2 weeks unfortunately as places were overbooked due to high tourist season. Their ice machine is out of order since the beginning of the time. Old furniture. Never going to stay there again. Will not prefer to stay here again. They advertise "superior suite" in many websites but they do not have any such suite. Upon arrival I was 5old they dont have superior suite but can give me 2 beds in a room. What would a single person do with 2 beds in almost same space as 1 bed.
