  • Stayed for 2 weeks. No restaurant, no bar. Breakfast buffet is all you can eat, fresh and regularly re stocked. Breakfast is cleared away dead on closing so don't be late or close to late! Breakfast is eaten off of paper plates with plastic knives and forks! After 2 weeks the hotel reception still had no idea or interest on why we were in Canada! The hotel receptionist at the hotel next door (we ate there on 2 evenings and used the bar on 2 evenings) knew why we were in Canada, where we had been and where we were going). 45 min journey by bus and subway to Toronto, to be fair we knew this before booking. There is nothing close by though. Now the good points. The hotel is clean, the rooms are clean and tidy. The breakfast staff are helpful etc. George the caretaker was great, he knew everything, he knew what we were doing in Canada and showed genuine interest and was good at his job. Would I stay here again.......yes bur would be more prepared and accept not everyone is in tested in me! A word of advice for the hotel. Get your front desk to at least show some interest in your guests, nor all are with you for 1 or 2 days.

  • For five years I have been almost a permanent resident of this home atmosphere hotel. I'm always happy when I come here. I feel like this is one friendly family. I want to thank all the employees of this wonderful place. Thank you so much that you make this place such as I always want to come back here!

  • Lots of features I enjoyed. Friendly staff that helped us keep an eye out for keys we lost. A really great breakfast. Easily accessible computers of which you could print from free of charge. Pool and gym were of a satisfactory quality. The only thing is the beds were doubles in a standard 2 bed room so it was a bit small for my wife and I.

  • This Holiday Inn Express is located in a pretty isolated area, next to a police station, with one restaurant bar in another nearby hotel as a local option. Otherwise you're commuting for meals and drinks. Friendly staff and fairly helpful. Pool is dull and not appealing. Breakfast was good and staff ensured they didn't run out. Overall not great value for the price.

  • ATTENTION MANAGEMENT: Get your front desk attitude problem under control! The front desk at this establishment needs a serious attitude adjustment. I try to stay with Holiday Inn because of the convenience, and I like to make sure our travelling service techs get to collect as much rewards as possible. But this is a hotel we will NEVER be visiting again. I booked a room online and called to get a credit card authorization form emailed to me. Since it was international I waited for about an hour and still never received it. So I called back thinking they must have just misspelled my email (a common occurrence, so no big deal). The gentlemen that answered immediately got an attitude and said "I don't know what you're problem is but I've emailed this three times already." Um... Excuse me!? Please tell me how you've had to re-email this three times if this is only the SECOND time I'm calling! Then the dreaded time comes where I need to call this hotel to have the bill emailed to us for the accounting department. First time I call, unsurprisingly the bill was never actually emailed (or it just didn't go through). Second time I call, the gentlemen starts in at me again asking why it's such a big deal that I didn't receive it and doesn't understand what my problem is and why I'm not receiving it. And I mean this guy got nasty with me about this issue. (I'm honestly a little more than upset that I didn't start getting nasty back because you don't treat people that way) Listen, I don't know what the issue is, but that is no reason to treat a customer that way. Sorry that I'm pulling you away from your front desk duties, but unfortunately, sending bills is also one of your duties. If you can't handle that responsibility, find another place of employment. If not, get yourself in check and work on a more professional attitude.
