Interesting house and lovely stable block of contrasting architecture, interesting paintings and furniture, beautifully decorated rooms. Guides in the rooms very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, especially Brian Warren, who was a star 🌟. Interesting exhibitions. Tranquil lake and 'garden' - mostly trees, lovely arboretum feel. Gift shop disappointing - sparse and expensive. Does sell the lovely coffee from the coffee shop, however, but could include more postcards of house and garden and paintings and also the lovely coffee shop china ! Nice coffee shop - delicious coffee and yummy range of light meals and snacks inc cakes and scones.
Attended an event here one Christmas, such a gorgeous place, and the choir singing on the stairs in the house.. really Christmassy! Well worth a visit.
Very well presented stately home. Well worth a visit. The staff are very helpful
Wonderful. The tour is very interesting and the art is very interesting. The gardens are so peaceful and beautiful. The cafe is nice for a quick bite to eat. We enjoyed it very much.
A fascinating house with some interesting paintings and good overview of the family history. The gardens are tranquil and the lake and it's island a perfect resting place for Princess Diana. Refreshments were of good quality.
