Norwalk (pronounced nôr′wôk′), is a city in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States, located in the New York metropolitan area. The estimated population of the city was 85,853 in 2012. Norwalk also ranks sixth on the List of municipalities of Connecticut by population.
