  • Standard pub food, but a great range of real ale & craft ales. Interesting building & pleasant canal side beer garden. Very busy, but they had enough staff on to get you served quickly. Worth a visit.

  • Last pub we popped into before our train home. Inside the pub which is an old warehouse are two canal boats. You walk over the bridge to the bar. Huge outdoor seating area near the canal which is lovely sit out there when the sun is shining as it was for us. Good size portion is food and good amount of choices. You order at the bar and they give you an alarm. Once your food is cooked it buzzes and you go and collect your food. Pigeons were a pain flying around and eating from leftover food. I feel staff should pop out regularly and clear the plates away. We had to constantly duck as the birds flew passed us. There are four other bars literally next door to this one so you can wander around. There were hundreds of beers to choose from and they sold some good tasty beers. A must visit :)

  • Good sized pub. The beers I had were nice but on the more pricey side of normal. Overall nice place and was very nice to sit by the canal

  • I love the place, but on a hot Saturday afternoon, the service needs sorting. Not full pints and a 15 minute queue to the bar. Credit to the staff they had on. Running around like blue-arsed flies. Just need more of them. Beer is excellent however and the location is spot on. Venue is magnificent and unique. Real ale, good food and stunning canal-side location.

  • If you are looking for a good selection of craft beer then the canal house if a great place to start. From local ales to more exotic craft ales, stouts, and wheat beers the Canalhouse has a great selection. The atmosphere is pleasant and it is a good place to meet. Serves a good selection of pub food at a reasonable price.
