Nottingham Castle - Review
The Nottingham Castle is a commendable structure that belongs to the 17th century. The castle stands tall on the site of the original Medieval Castle. The castle has a turbulent history in relevance to kings and conquerors. The castle today is home to a Museum & Art Gallery that possesses the best regional, national and international art and exhibition galleries. Permanent exhibitions have showcase silverware, glass, costume and textiles, and an insight into Nottingham's history for their display.

Home away from home. I'm related to king James in a round about way. The castle isn't what it was but if your want to feel the love of robin hood and the drama from that time, make sure you go. Just double check the refurb is done before you venture to it.
This was the best museum I have ever been to in my life! They have something for every age group and make every part of it exciting for everyone. I spent all day exploring this museum, the adjoining caves, gardens, and the tavern. The tours are full of rich history and well worth it. Overall, it is just an amazing experience!
A lovely day out but I became ill and passed out. A Very kind visitor looked after me and he put me on the ground in recovery position so i didn't hurt myself. He stayed with me despite being with his family. He said he was a carer. Thank you. The Castle staff were wonderful. They called an ambulance, put an ice pack on my head, offered me water and stayed with me until the ambulance arrived. It was a hot day. I am so grateful. Thank you again for the Castle staff on duty Saturday 30 June 2018. I don't know who the man was nor the staff. They kindly took my glasses off and put them in my pocket. I did not come round fully until I was put on a drip at the QMC. I hope these people see this and know who they are. Many thanks again Ruth age 72
A great day out for young families and old timers who love a little taster of history and Nottingham! The castle hosts a view across residential Nottingham ideal for spotting cat burglars and Santa Claus. The castle has currently closed due to major renovations and is to be opened in 2020. Hopefully then it will be even better. Watch out if you are parking up though, disabled parking is offered on site and there is parking at the NCP St. James' Street.
A shame this costs too much for local residents to enter! Closed for refurbishment now but just a glorified art gallery no real mention of the history of the place also a disgrace the way Albert Balls statue has been left to crumble covered in pigeon poop and overcome by tree growth very shabby looking, I went during the last free week of opening but won't be paying the fee to go back when it reopens as it's too much money.
