Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham Reviews
Very beautiful theatre with a good selection of plays, musicals, comedy etc. The bars also have good drinks selections. The view of the stage is slightly restricted when you sit on the front row of the balcony and it's very warm up there. They've now opened up a couple of outside areas where you can look across the city which is very pleasant.
Saw Dylan Moran here tonight in the Concert Hall which is a great venue. Very comfortable and it looks like full visibility from all seats. This is the modern part of the complex, at the side of the historic Theatre Royal. Located in Nottingham City centre so all transport modes are convenient.
Think theatre need to upgrade the seating now, so cramped you are on top of your neighbour. Tonight I had a large lady who had crutches so even my leg space was restricted. Seats are hard too. Otherwise it's a beautiful building and I love the shows, effects good although tonight the actors voices needed amplifying, they were a bit flat.
Always a pleasure to go there. Had good view in the stalls, about mid - way. Also had nice meal and drink in the bar/bistro. Pleasant staff in the theatre and bar.
This has a great old world charm. The theatre seems to have kept many of its original features. We regularly go to the murder mystery season in August which is excellent. A really great place to enjoy a play or music.
