Danube Park - Review

Also known as Dunavski Park, it’s the most beautiful park in Novi Sad. With about 250 species of plants and a sprawling area of 33,000sqmt the park is an abode of greenery. It’s adorned with ponds and little islets with lots of fishes and swans, walkways decorated with English Oak and other trees like Japanese quince, white and red cornel, juniper and various other species. The park is also the favourite destination for cultural fairs and has a lot of busts and statues of famous Serbian personalities scattered all over. Also in this park is the statue of Djura Jaksic a famous writer and painter. There’s an urban legend that if you sit in his lap and whisper your wish in his ear, it will come true. A serene and tranquil atmosphere amidst the bustling city, from the young to old everyone visits the park to imbibe its beauty.

  • I like this place because it really good for rest. You can bring kids because there is a lot of playgrounds.

  • Internet the hart of the city center park is perfect spot to stop and relax, especialy in the summer and with children. And it has hidden places for romantic souls. And You can eduecate if You go around and see mounuments of important Serbs placed all around park.

  • One of neacest parks in Novi Sad. You can find quiet parts as well as crowded. Only problem is that park has small surface. Will be better that Novi Sad has bigger green park in the center. Small lake with ducks make it interesting for kids.
