Also known as Dunavski Park, it’s the most beautiful park in Novi Sad. With about 250 species of plants and a sprawling area of 33,000sqmt the park is an abode of greenery. It’s adorned with ponds and little islets with lots of fishes and swans, walkways decorated with English Oak and other trees like Japanese quince, white and red cornel, juniper and various other species. The park is also the favourite destination for cultural fairs and has a lot of busts and statues of famous Serbian personalities scattered all over. Also in this park is the statue of Djura Jaksic a famous writer and painter. There’s an urban legend that if you sit in his lap and whisper your wish in his ear, it will come true. A serene and tranquil atmosphere amidst the bustling city, from the young to old everyone visits the park to imbibe its beauty.
