Located on the banks of river Danube and adjacent to Petrovaradin fortress, this museum represents the grandness of the entire city in a nut shell. It has various departments spread in the nearby vicinity like archaeology, cultural history, economic, political and social history of the place, ethnology, restoration all of which give a comprehensive overview of the place. Along with furniture and applied art, it also houses pieces of work by artists like Sava Sumanovic, Djordje Jovanovic, Bosko Petrovic, Milenko Serban, and others.

There’s also a foreign art section displaying other European artworks from 16th to 20th century. But perhaps the most interesting part of the visit will be in the ground floor of longest underground tunnel network in Europe. About 16km long and as many 12,000 loopholes they were used during the World War. However visitors are permitted to view only about 1 kilometre section of that.
