Located in the Leninsky area, this monument of glory is dedicated to the participants of the great patriotic war and is considered as a symbol of cultural heritage in Russia. The monument was installed in 1967 and the memorial occupies an area of 2 hectares. The eternal flame that burns in the memories of the warriors has a sublime effect on the visitors.

The memorial also includes monument to bereaved mothers- the eternal flame and five powerful ten-meter pylons engraving the war scenes. There are 30266 names of Novosibirsk and between the pylons on the hill are the boxes filled with the earth from the battle sites.

Alley of glory is an area behind the memorial where 100 fir trees are planted in the honor of the heroes of Soviet Union. The chapel of St. George is also worth observing.
