Noticeable as a sphinx shaped hillock, Isandlwana Battlefield marks the site of the 1879 battle. 20,000 Zulus attacked the British camp, and the small stones scattered over this area mark the individual British soldiers who were later buried here. Visit this site to know more about the battle, what led up to it and what followed. A small souvenir shop has small trinkets that you can buy as a remembrance. A small entry fee will be applicable.
