Hal Tyrrell Trailside Museum Reviews & Ratings

  • This is a great museum to bring kids to let them know more about our beautiful nature! They offer educational programs such as Field trips and it is free, I will definitely check their site as advised by their staff. The building is old but well-maintained and clean. There are animals outside like owls, hawk and turkey, and inside the building we were able to check reptiles, snakes, turtles and many more. We really enjoyed our tour and our guide is very knowledgeable and friendly.

  • Awesome place to come for an afternoon with the kids

  • Great place to take a little walk around in nature. The animals outside (They have a coyote, owls, and a hawk) are neat to check out. And then you can go inside to check out the main floor of the historic house turned nature center. Great fun for ALL ages.

  • I was just there with my neighbor and happened to walk into a feeding of the birds and the coyote. It was very cool. Adam was well informed, great with kids but this is awesome for adults as well. I had to cut it short because my neighbor had to go to work, but can't wait to go back. Tomorrow they have a blue grass gig. ;) THIS IS FREE, so instead of taking your kids to play video games on a nice day, take them here. They have a schedule online by the way.

  • A tucked away corner of woodlands in the neighborhood. Nature center with guides and kids activity center, small but fairly diverse, focusing on the original inaccurate if the forest.
