Portillo's Hot Dogs Reviews & Ratings
Ok so over the last past year and a half, I’ve been hearing about this place. I made the decision to try it out the next time I was in evergreen park. Well that was today, and oh my god. They snapped! The service was good, the food was all types of delicious, and the wait for my food wasn’t too long, only about 3-5 minutes like most fast food chains like Wendy’s or McDonald’s. Even when I walked in the food smelled delicious, I didn’t even taste the food yet and I already had something good to say about their food! Best of all, I took a survey on their website that only took like 2 minutes for a free large fry! Even the dining experience was up to par. The music wasn’t too loud, it wasn’t crowded, and the staff was friendly. I truly recommend this restaurant to anyone who hasn’t tried it, because it is AMAZING! Most definitely coming back here next time I’m in the area 😊
Had just left Dr.'s office and went there to get dinner. I always find it a bit crowded, but that's when you know the food is worth it. Staff most of the time polite(Cashier's). Other than that you do have a nice time. Drive thru is always packed, but they have staff there outside to take your order.
I'm a Portillo's fan but this location can improve on a few things. Make sure you check your bag before leaving the parking lot if you go through the drive thru. Also, if you're dining in, the food is good but the customer service could use some work.
They have a lighted sign by the salad bar that says orders and a sign on the other side of the salad bar that says pick-up. I stood at the side that says orders for about 5 minutes waiting to have my order taken with another customer. The staff kept walking past us while we stood under the order sign. No one said can i take your order. I stopped one of them and said is anyone taking orders for salads here. The guy behind the counter said i don't know. I asked if he could get the manager for me. Maybe she knows where i should order the salad from since she's managing the store. IF I COULD GIVE THEM A ZERO I WOULD.
Always delicious, you must try their Italian Beef, I like mine with sweet peppers, hot peppers on the side. Then get their delicious French Fries, they are cooked and salted just right. They also have really good shakes!! All their food is good that I've tried so far, I've been eating here since it opened at this location 95th&Pulaski.
