  • The park ranger was kind, helpful, and passionate about the beauty of the park. We took Stream Trail out and came back on French Trail. Highly recommend this as an alternative to Muir Woods because of the convenience and less crowded experience with just as much beauty!

  • Gem of the east bay. Good playgrounds and picnic spots. Stream trail and French trails are easily the best redwoods for miles. Cross over west ridge to more hilltop tree cathedrals at Roberts and Joaquin Miller for a longer loop and you don’t need to pay for parking at the bottom. Mtn bike loop around the whole ridge is a must!

  • Great place to go hike, run, or bike! Steam trail is a good shady path that leads through the middle of the park giving great veiws of the Redwoods. Once at one end of Steam trail you can take the west or east ridge trail for more of a challenge and loop back to the other side. Friendly people and great views.. Worth the trip every time!

  • Another gem to escape from the commotion of the bay area. I love the solidarity of this park. The trails can be quick for a family picnic or all day for an athletic person like myself. Easy to get lost in peace. I recommend the French trail!!!

  • A dark and mysterious wood. The old trees, magnificent beings, bestow a life healing energy. This is a place to find oneself in the midst of a full life. Come here and sit and take it in. You won’t be disappointed.
