Oaxca is famous for its large variety of traditional festivals and events. The most important ones are Holy Week, the Guelaguetza in July, Dias delos Muertos in November and the night of the Radishes and Cristmas in December.
The Guelaguetza : a fiesta of traditional dances, exhibition, cultural events which features the talent of Oaxaca valley.
Holy week: a week long religious festival with the sponsoring of churches in the city which include concerts fireworks, fairs and other entertainment.
Dias delos Muertos: Mexican day of Dead festival. On this day people pay one’s respect at the grave yard and they visit friends and families, anyone who visits offered food as well.
Night of the Radishes : celebrate on December 23 on which Oaxaquenos build sculptures out of radishes, flowers and corn husks and display it.
