Yagul, Oaxaca De Juarez Reviews

  • Pretty cool place to visit for a couple of hours. I liked it better than the ruins in Mitla. Some nice tombs and great views.

  • Great place to spend a morning or an afternoon. Close to Mitla ruins. Less than 20 minute drive away. Tlacolula is very close for lunch or dinner. Ruins are great. Second largest ball court in mesoamerica. Lots of shade if it's hot. Definitely recommend. Great hiking as well. Beautiful views of the Tlacolula Valley.

  • My favorite archaeological site in the Oaxaca area. Quite small and no museum, and I think the plaques are only in Spanish so you probably have to have some other sites or museums behind you, but this site is special. The ball court is well realized, and I also really enjoyed exploring the maze of residential halls and rooms that exist. Nice views too.

  • Lovely landscapes and interesting prehispanic palace

  • I love ruins typically, and this was no exception. Interesting history how this was a late empire compared to nearby ruins around Oaxaca, and beautiful scenic views from up on the mountain. If you like history, this is worth the trip out of town.
