Housed inside the historical Naryshkins’ Palace, this 1899 Museum is the premier art gallery of Odessa. With over 10,000 paintings, drawings, sculptures, decoratives and prints, this is as comprehensive a collection of Ukrainian fine art that you will find anywhere. Most of the works are from the 16th to 17th century and include most of Ukrainian masters. There is also a healthy collection of works by Russian artists. The finest collection is of Russian Orthodox icons. The neoclassical building itself is one of the oldest palaces in Odessa, finished in 1824. Check out the English style landscaped garden behind the palace.

An absolute 'gem' in an unpolished but older part of the city. Spent 2 hours going round, asking questions and really only touched the surface of what the place has to offer. 5 rooms being refurbished so not seen. The Repressed Artist exhibition is thought provoking.
Good paintings exhibition. You will need 1.5 - 2 hours for watching it. However, they don't have any discount for students.
Enjoyed seeing many good paintings of both famous and not so famous artists. Some rooms are very beautiful as well while others are very basic. All additional exhibitions are not good. Only main, pre-soviet times exposition is worth time and money.
Much more than I expected. Great collection of pre-Soviet as well as Soviet art. Really enjoyed it, both paintings and sculpture.
An unexpected find - a smallish collection but with many interesting pictures and well laid out.
