Ojai Resort Spa Reviews & Ratings
The Ojai Valley Inn is a beautiful luxury in the heart of Ojai Valley. The grounds of this hotel and the hotel itself are impressive in so many ways. The staff is professional, FRIENDLY, and generally on the ball. There is a golf course here and it's a beautiful golf course. But you don't need to golf to enjoy yourself here. The hotel is kid friendly and has an additional swimming pool on the grounds to accommodate families. It is equally accommodating to adults and has a Tesla Charging Station.
Of all the beautiful hotels and resorts I've had the privilege to stay at (in America) Ojai Valley Inn is the most comfortable...the sumptuous room was like a separate cottage ...the views and grounds were impeccable... the pools were the right temperature.. the spa had every thing you could possibly want...dried fruit and nuts..water with orange slices.. If there is an issue the staff takes care of it in a compassionate way...the service was delightful...even the golfcart shuttle service was fun.. Thank you for some lovely memories.. Within walking distance of an excellent restaurant...
Pros: The property is stunning, absolutely beautiful. The staff could not be more friendly, they really go out of their way to be helpful and address you by name. I loved the decor, and the room was spacious with nice furnishings. The spa was fantastic. Cons: The rooms are off of an open air hallway, the floors are concrete and tile and the entry way to the room is the same. All night long you can hear anything and I do mean anything that is happening. The property is large so the staff drives around in golf carts - you will hear it. Other guests coming and going late night and early am - you will hear them. Property maintenance- you will hear them. We were really excited to use the deep soaking tub late night with the bath salts and candles...the tub did not hold water. I had to jimmy the door to lock it and my wife was unable to unlock it in the morning. They put an iPad in the room next to the bed and it lit up at night like a TV...I had to cover it with towels. We were really excited about the fine dining restaurant as we had heard so much about it. The food was delicious, but we almost left early skipping the last courses as there was another party in a neighboring room that were literally yelling and screaming like a sporting event was going on. We asked about it and we were told yes they are loud...and it’s not usually like this. We’ve been driving down the California coast and this was a splurge to stay here for a night. I’m not sure I ended up getting the value I had hoped for. That being said it is a great property and many of my concerns were probably isolated events. UPDATE- the manager called us and wanted to hear our concerns. She was very genuine and considerate and I felt confident she was taking our issues at heart. She offered to take care of dinner and improve our stay if we could come back. This is the service I was expecting and have changed my review to 5 stars now.
There are no words to explain the freeing you get when you first arrive on this property. The warmth, caring, professionalism. We were just waking and the young man on the golf cart offered us some nice cool bottled water to drink.
A Gem, Hidden Beauty! Almost don’t want to share just how spectacular this place is but.... it would not be nice at all on my part to not share! From arrival to departure, all is AMAZING! Grounds, Buildings, THE STAFF!!! Golf course on site an adult pool and one for families, spa, gym and no need to leave the hotel at all! The restaurants are very very good and enjoyed great meals at all outlets! Smores at night, fresh made juices after a workout, l can go on and on but overall, THIS IS AN AMAZING SPECIAL PLACE AND VISIT IF YOU CAN!!
