From buying clothes, souvenirs, accessories to relishing on a variety of doughnuts and unique local snacks that are sold here all day long, the Heiwadori shopping street is where you go if you want to explore Okinawa like a local!
A number of restaurants around the place offers dining options as well. Do try having a meal at Yakiniku Kokusai (popular for Agu pork and beef dishes), Tubaraama and Okinawa Dinking and Yakinuku (known for its Ago park curry, taco rice and sake). The place is a popular spot during the Halloween costume tournament every year. Don’t forget to buy Shisa dog sculptures, a bottle or two of Okinawan rice whiskey and locally produced herbal tea before you leave the street.
