Nirai Beach has one of the most well preserved marine preserve around the world. You can find coral reefs here along with a variety of tropical fishes, starfishes, sea urchins, sea cucumbers and sea turtles. Low tides are ideal for children to enter the water to see these creatures and to swim while the sheer number of activities available here for adults makes it an ideal spot for people of all ages. The beach offers parasailing, scuba diving, snorkeling and dragon boating. The turtle egg-hatching season is one of its many highlights. A few rock formations around the coast beautify the beach but for most parts, the view is the blue water, the gold sand, and the glorious sun! The best part about the beach is it has a shallow shelf- perfect for children to play around without worrying about the big waves.
There are lounge chairs and umbrellas available for rent. You can find a number of hotels and restaurants around but if you want to spend a long time here, pack a picnic basket with some good food and have a scrumptious spread at the beach while you work on that golden tan!
