The Frontier City in Oklahoma City is a terrific theme park where you can take your family and friends. The park is massively stretched with great attractions but has remained to be a low-key hidden gem in the tourism community. With roller coasters, a log flume, water rides, and many other traditional rides, this place also has many eating joints and counters as well. This place is definitely a good place to bring your kids and let them loose to have some fun.

Frontier City Reviews & Ratings

  • This is a great place to introduce kids to rides! The main rides aren't as thrilling as others I've rode in the past, but they are fair and since my kids like them; we can ride together. I prefer other Six Flags parks myself, but since they've recently purchased this park I hope they introduce new, more thrilling rides. This park has a great children's area with better than par children's rides, a massive playground city, and a huge water area for everyone to splash around and cool off in the summer. The food in the park is what you'd expect from a theme park. They seem to have a few better options than other parks I've visited - loaded brisket french fries, for example. Super salty, but very good until you can't bare the salt anymore. Burgers, pizza, corn dogs, and chicken tenders are the norm otherwise. I recommend the meal plan if you intend to visit more than once. It pays for itself quickly. If you upgrade to deluxe, you get a refillable drink bottle good for the entire year. Even when most of the food places have been closed in the past, the lines weren't too long so it wasn't inconvenient. The park is always clean which is a contrast to the park in Arlington (even though Arlington has better rides). I recommend this park for a fun day with the family. Season passes for those who live nearby will prove advantageous for something to do on the weekends, evenings, or when they host concerts. The best part is they're good for all Six Flags parks.

  • I went here with my mom during my college visit. It was so fun! The staff are friendly and rides are fun. I’ve seen reviews of locals complaining about the food prices and such, however, the prices are nothing out of the ordinary for most theme parks. I liked the train ride! Maggie was the one driving the train. She was so energetic, friendly, cheerful, and fun! She’s an amazing worker and definitely made my day! :)

  • Great local theme park associated with Six Flags.... Food is pretty good. Rides are fun, and the size of the park makes it an all day adventure! Take advantage of the double park pass which gets you into White Water OKC, allows free parking, and you can visit ALL Six Flags too! The meal plan makes attending frequently even more affordable. Restrooms and food lines/procedures at this park could use an update. Park itself is great!

  • My family and I have been to Frontier City many times and have enjoyed each time we visited. On Oct 5, 2019 we went again with several friends and family that had never been. To say the least .....I was very disappointed and very embarrassed as to how our experience turned out. For starters......the park was nasty and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. The rest rooms smelled of urine and each and every “vending” stand we went to or went into was a total wreck. The floors were sticky from spilled sodas or the soft drink machines leaking and every trash can I saw was over flowing. I was also very disappointed on how many of the rides were either out of order or just not opened. This was nothing like the other Fright Fest experiences that we have had. As anyone who has ever gone here knows.....we spent more money than I care to think about and for the services we got, I can honestly say that we will never be back. I’m not sure what has happened or what has changed, but last night’s experience was a huge let down.

  • I use to visit this park at least a couple of times a year as a teenager. It was fun, but not anything to write home about. We took our son there today and it was about the same. He enjoyed it, but was not fighting us to stay when it was time to go. The whole park is paved in black asphalt, so that makes the day really hot. Everything appears to be old, but in working condition. Be prepared to spend $15 for 3 bottled waters and rides are available off and on. With that said we would go there again if there was not anything else going on. It might be time for some upgrades FTC.
