Martin Park Nature Center - Review

This park is the city's own tiny Nature Reserve. located on the northeast side of the city it's about 140 acres in area. There are about four to five kilometers of easily hiked trails that pass through grasslands and conservation areas. There is a small Educational Center which houses reptile and insect species;and it also houses the city's first observational beehive. There's a picnic Pavilion for large group parties which can be rented at the parks business office. Kids can play in the Pollinator's Playground. You're likely to come across plenty of wildlife too-deers and birds and turtles. It's one of the most gorgeous natural spaces in the city.

Martin Park Nature Center, Oklahoma City Reviews

  • Great place for family hikes. Although lots is Li’s we’re there we saw plenty of deer and different types of turtles. Bring some binoculars because there are owls here, although we didn’t see any this time. Great place for families. Here is a playground as well as a telescope deck. In the city so you do not have to go far. Kudos to the city for keeping it so well kept 👌.

  • I love all the updates outside. We really enjoyed it. The inside I miss the old look, it was cozy and more like a nature center, now it looks like a museum. I do however love the round wood piece you step into, it's dark and the night animals make noise. I miss the puppet room, it's no longer there. I'm still rating it a 5 , things change. I may not like all the changes but I get it

  • I remember going here as a kid and now coming back as an adult is just as I remember it! I always remembered seeing huge turtles and fish and they are still there! This is an excellent place just to walk around and get some fresh air. Highly recommend!

  • A little piece of natural paradise in the middle of the city... Excellent place to take the family for a fun and educational outing. Staff are friendly and helpful. Church out the website for their occasional programs and presentations...

  • Great walking trails, play ground and nature center in the city. The staff if friendly and informative too. They also have special events here in the weekends. We love this place.
