Built in 1904, the building you see today has been listed on the national register of historic places since 1977. Unlike the st. Joseph old Cathedral, it was built in Norman Gothic style and was also significantly damaged during the Oklahoma City bombing. Notably, the Celtic cross on top of the church was shattered. It took two years and seven and a half million dollars to restore the church. There are a few architectural highlights you may want to check out: the stained-glass windows depicting scenes out of the Bible; the two Tiffany windows behind the altar; and the altar, pulpit and the baptismal font which were made from Carrara marble.
