The Ware Room has raw wool, crates of coffee, saddles and displays the art of pottery and other crafts from Native American tribes. The Josef Muench Room is filled with the artworks and photography of Josef, the jewelry and personal certificates of the Goulding couple. The Living Quarters display most of the belongings of the Gouldings. The famous Movie Room is filled with movie stills, posters of artists and the topographical map where you can guess the filming locations of the old movies shot here. John Wayne’s Cabin also displays some of the movie stills along with a made-up studio.

Gouldings Trading Post Museum. Reviews & Ratings
My wife and I just spent three days at Goulding's. It's isolated but there is plenty to do and see. I wish we had more time. Everything you need is right there, and although it is isolated, prices are very reasonable. Our cabin was clean and spacious. Service at every level was courteous and friendly. Don't miss trying a breakfast burrito and the fry bread at the restaurant. We took a guided tour of the valley. It was great to get behind the scenes so to speak. Our guide was informative and entertaining. Just the same, I would consider checking other tour venues. Our jeep was full, while some of the other company's jeeps had fewer passengers. However, their tours may not have been as long or complete. Check around before committing. Finally, the Goulding's story is fascinating. Don't miss the trading post.
We had a private lodge that was just perfect. The beds were comfortable and waking up in the morning and either opening up the curtains or stepping outside to see such natural beauty was just breath taking!!! The afternoon that we arrived soon we were about to see the sunset. Spectacular! Take the tour of Monument Valley. So worth it! The staff was great and just so welcoming too. Thank you truly for not only a great stay, but sharing such beauty with so many that come from around the world. Thank you!
Amazing location and amazing history in one of the most spectacular places on earth. Hotel is well staffed with friendly people and the villas in the hillside section are very nice (the rooms in the main lodge are nice too with spectacular views, our friends stayed in the main lodge while we were in a villa). Tremendous natural beauty surrounds this clean, comfortable property. Beautiful.
Kind of like a series of independent cabins: we had an individual prefabricated house. Two beds (one in the living room and one in a separate bedroom. Both beds were queens. Loved the view, the stars were perfect (you could see the Milky Way), and the sunrise over Monument Valley was stunning. So why 3 stars? We had lots of houseflies and every time we got rid of one, another appeared (no, they weren’t the same fly: we kept track). The whole place just seemed pretty low-rent for the price. I slept badly because I kept imagining more things were landing on me. That said: best place we found to stay. Just being a fly swatter.
very conveniently located across the street from monument valley and has views from almost all the rooms as well as most of the restaurant. They have a small museum there and even have a movie theater that has shows at six 7 p.m. as well as a old monument valley movie at 8 pm. Restaurant was good at both dinner and lunch and the rooms were comfortable
