Old Market Spaghetti Works Reviews & Ratings

  • Good place for toddlers after visiting the Zoo. You can park in the street (using parking meters 25 cents gives you 12 minutes of time, bring lots of quarters) or park in a nearby paid lot. This place can get very busy at peak times. If it gets too busy you can go to M's Pub which is just down the street and also has a good children's menu. If both places are busy, you can go to the snack bar at the Durham Museum and order their mac and cheese. Parking at the Durham is free, but you have to pay for admission.

  • DON'T PASS IT UP!! Yesterday (Saturday) night was my boyfriend and I's first time visiting and it was amazing! The wait was rather short considering how busy they were. The interior is huge and really quirky in design. We ordered the fried beef ravioli for an appetizer and it was delicious! Then we both ordered the 'boundless' pasta for our entree. This ordering process was such a cool concept for a restaurant... The way it worked was you choose your type of noodle and up to three sauces at a time to be served on top of them! You can get as many bowls as you want and switch up your options however you want. You get a trip to the salad bar and all you can eat delicious garlic bread. All for only $10.99! (You can do one option at a time for $9.99 but the portions are huge so if you want to try other sauces I'd pay the dollar more and get a combo). The salad bar had all the necessities and was very fresh. Over all my boyfriend and I were extremely satisfied with our visit and are in love! We wish there would be one in Kansas City! Maybe one day!

  • This restaurant was great. The atmosphere, price, staff, and food was very good. Had a unique feel. Loved the build your own pasta with free refills and the Italian sodas! Would recommend. Only giving 4 stars because the food didn't knock our socks off. Was very good tho and would definitely give it another try to see if something else on the menu really wowed us. We are visitors from out of state.

  • I know it is supposed to be an institution, but the best part was the salad bar. The pasta was cooked well, but everything we had was bland. My wife said she was there five years ago, and it was much better. The balloon lady was very nice and super talented.

  • Nice place. I liked the decor. Homer our servicer was very polite and answered all our questions. Lots of selections on the menu. Food was good. Plenty of it. Good prices.
