The Satmarika Temple is basically a group of different temples dedicated to seven goddesses – Maheshwari, Varahi, Brahmi, Indrani, Narasimhi, Koumari and Chamunda. The temple was built in the Nagara style of architecture and dates back to the 10th century. It was built at this very spot as the confluence of Kaveri and Narmada River was deemed to be a very holy sport and the temple would be the perfect way to mark this holy union of the two great water bodies. Apart from being a religiously significant attraction, the scenic view and natural beauty also is a great reason to visit the Satmarika Temple.
