Omoa is a small city located on the Caribbean Sea Coast of Honduras. In this little city stands a beautiful fortress called Museo San Fernando de Omoa. This fortress is said to be built between the years 1756 and 1775. The purpose of building this fortress was to protect the land and people from the pirate attacks of Atlantic Ocean. In later decades, the fortress was abandoned for a long time. It was restored by the government of Honduras in 1959 and since then many tourists have visited this fortress to know its history and heritage. The views of the Bay from the fortress are mind blowing.
