At Onancock, Accomack County of Virginia, the Ker place or Kerr place is a magnificent historic home. In 1799, this home was built as a two-storied rectangular five-bay dwelling in federal-period Georgian style. At its rear and front elevations, a centrally projected pavilion is added. From 1960, this house and its 2 acre surroundings have been acquired by Historical society of Virginia, which operates this as a historical museum house since early 19th century. It has also been registered in the historical places’ national register.
