Dodabetta, Ooty Reviews
It's just a peak with an amazing view. There's nothing else to do here. The ride to visit it is long but you can hardly spend half hour here. Good place to click pictures. There are photographers who will click and give you one minute photographs. Stalls to eat and buy stuff. Not much to do.
Place is perfect to have some good photographs but is not for trekkers. I had actually went their for the sole purpose of trekking but view was ruined by enormous crowd gathered on the day. Had done 10 Km trek to reach the peak but people were there in cars. If you want to visit go directly by car or local buses. Remember it's NOT for trekkers.
Nice view point to have a panoramic view. Telescope will be available only if weather permits; still one can always have a nice view from the tower rather than at the floor level. Try to visit before 11 as it will start crowded.
It's a peak . Don't visit after 11-12 am as the traffic gets piled up. Roads are stiff, so only skilled driver should drive the car not safe for new drivers. On the way you see a tea shop HIGH HILL TEA that is must visit place. Yes there is extremely good. And by paying Rs 10 per person you can visit the tea garden behind it. Do park your vehicle carefully as you may obstruct the roads.
The view from here is quite good. More than the view, I would say I liked the ride. If you take your two wheeler, the ride would be awesome. I liked the ride here as the whether was too cold when I had been here the whole trip was awesome.but talking about the view point, I would rate it around 4/10.
