Pykara Lake - Review
Nestled in the Nilgiris, situated near the Mukurthi National Park and around 20 kms from Ooty town, the Pykara Lake is a breathtaking site to behold. The drive to the lake is also a beautiful one. The Paykara waterfalls are nearby and one needs to hike up for around a kilometre to reach the falls. Head out to the lake for some relaxing time with your family. Go boating or picnicking and don’t forget to hog on the pakoras and boiled peanuts available at various stalls around the lake. Also, visit the popular attractions in the city by following Ooty Itinerary 3 Days.

Pykara Lake, Ooty Reviews
This wonderful lake in pristine surroundings is a delight. The road to lake passes through dense forests and finally the lake itself is magical. If you can get a visit to the naval side then the view is fantastic. Lots of water birds around and the tall trees around make it a must visit place
Beautiful lake with a gorgeous 360 degrees view. We had a fabulous family time here.
A great place to unwind. An awesome lake ride . Its slightly expensive but beautiful experience.
About 15 km away from ooty, has a nice parking facility. We opted for a pedal boat and had a quality time here. 1 hr is sufficient time. Near by eatries are available.
Beautiful place! However because of the stupid polycies and mismanagement and mindelss/senseless people this place became a night mare for visitors. Starting from parking area till the lake not even one person have minimum sense how to organize. If this place maintained by some thoughtful persons it could be more enjoyable to tourists.
