Located in the cantonment area in Wellington (18 kilometres from Ooty), the Second World War Memorial Pillar is dedicated to the brave Soldiers who lost their lives during the Second World War.
The cantonment is still used by the Indian Army as home to the Madras Regiment. A park adjacent to the memorial displays models of war airplanes used in the past.
Highlight of the memorial includes engravings of names of the defense personnel who fought during World War I and II, Indo-Pak war and Kargill war. Stop by at memorial to pay your respect to those who lost their lives in the troubled war.
